Start training

Training preparation route

Prepare for a more productive workout before you start

A few simple decisions can make a training session easier to manage. Consider your current energy, the exercises you plan to perform and the amount of time available so you can begin with a clear purpose and maintain better focus throughout the workout.

Workout preparation timeline

Use this sequence as a practical pre-workout checklist. Adjust each step according to your training experience, planned exercises, available time and the intensity of the session.

1

Define the session

Decide what you want to accomplish before training begins. Choose a primary focus such as strength, conditioning, mobility or full-body fitness and select exercises that support that objective.

2

Prepare your body

Begin with appropriate warm-up movements and gradually increase activity. Prepare the joints and major muscle groups for the movements you expect to perform during the main part of the workout.

3

Begin focused training

Start the planned exercises with controlled technique and an appropriate level of resistance or intensity. Keep the session organized and concentrate on consistent, deliberate movement rather than rushing through repetitions.

4

Check your progress

Pause briefly when useful to assess your technique, effort and remaining energy. Adjust the workload or exercise pace when necessary so the rest of the session remains controlled, productive and appropriate for your training goal.

Flexible training route

A flexible workout structure is useful when your available time, energy or training priority changes. Adjust the session instead of forcing a full routine when a shorter or more focused approach is better suited to the day.
